The base hourly rate for this position is $28.00

Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems involving production equipment and facilities. Lead projects that span the spectrum of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatics, and welding duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform lockout/tagout and adhere to all safety requirements and best practices.
  • Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending on area assignment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot/repair electrical, basic ladder logic, and mechanical faults.
  • Performs the disassembly, repair, assembly, and/or replacement of pneumatic/hydraulic components by understanding basic system circuits and components.
  • Provides minor service to the forklifts monthly and drive it occasionally.
  • Performs minor and major electrical repairs (replacing 3-phase motors, switches, fuses, etc.).
  • Fitting and welding, able to cut, fit and weld steel components utilizing safe work practices and knowledge of all equipment and techniques to this skill.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.  

Education and/or Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2+ years' experience in heavy electrical and industrial manufacturing.
  • Forklift driving experience.
  • English proficiency and ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office, SAP experience preferred).
