Job Summary

Provide supervision to the shop floor personnel to meet business objectives. Promote and implement quality, productivity, and ABS initiatives.

Essential Functions

Supervises an effective team; including planning and holding meetings, preparing and conducting performance appraisals as appropriate, managing staffing levels (including vacations, overtime and leaves of absences), assisting with career development (motivates, coaches and trains to acquire maximum quality, productivity, morale and cooperation), approving time and attendance and labor transactions, and prioritizing and making work assignments.

Provides effective feedback to employees, both positive and negative. Maintains appropriate documentation for all disciplinary actions taken.

Directs training and orientation of employees to ensure EHS rules are known and understood, to improve work performance, and acquaint employees with company policies and procedures.

Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operations, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

Work with engineering to improve overall operational effectiveness and support and implement continuous improvement activities and set-up reduction.

SPA responsibilities over 1 or more EH&S functions.

Overall implementation of ABS principles including housekeeping, cleanliness and safety compliance for the manufacturing area.

Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook.

Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Interacts with employees and other departments in order to manage the flow of product through the operation.

Creates a total awareness among assigned employees of Company policies, regulations, and procedures, and business initiatives. Enforces compliance and acts as a positive resource for information and questions.

Responds to emergencies. Assists in troubleshooting production problems. Investigates and analyzes. Initiates or recommends actions to correct deviations and variables affecting schedules, costs, quality and other factors.

Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.

Plans, develops and impelments new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.

Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.

Support and assist employees with certified operator requirements.

Record manufacturing/cell board data either manually or by computer as required.

Identify cross training needs and support employee development.

Ensure work instructions/quality procedrues are available and being used.

Familiarity and compliance with corporate and plant protocols including EHS, SOX, Ethics of business conduct, ABS, ASAT, ISO, and export control.

Review department inventory position (includes raw materials).

Achieve EHS metrics as outlined annually.

Actively participate, promote and comply with all EHS programs and policies.

Perform other duties as required to meet HCM business needs.

Education:

High School Diploma

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to maintain a high degree of expectancy with peers and subordinates.

Ability to communicate effectively with support areas.

Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills.

Understand certified operator program.

Knowledge and familiarity with computer applications

Experience:

Previous Supervisory Experience

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
