MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>Minimum of one year of experience in the Diesel Mechanics field.</li>

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Adjunct Instructor in the Early Technical College Diesel Powered Equipment Technology class is responsible for providing in-person theory and hands-on skills instruction to dual-enrolled high school students to prepare them to become Diesel Powered Equipment Technicians. Areas of instruction include preventive maintenance, electrical/electronics, brakes, drive train, suspension and steering, diesel engines and HVAC. The Adjunct Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; and other duties as assigned. This position is part-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. between August and May each year. Scheduled class hours are 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is not a remote work position.
SALARY:&nbsp; $30.00 per hour. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

Title: Instructor, Biology - 9/10 Month (Term) - Clarksville Campus
POSITION SUMMARY This position is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Biology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. This position will be based on the Clarksville campus with teaching assignments primarily at the Clarksville campus. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check college email and departmental mailbox.
Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, and grade submissions. Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Biology, a related life science or related professional/advanced clinical degree.
(OR) Master’s degree in another discipline with 18 graduate hours in Biology, a related life science or related professional/ advanced clinical degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Collegiate level teaching experience.
Ability to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II.

This position will be based on the Clarksville campus with teaching assignments primarily at the Clarksville campus. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with Course Leads, Department Chair, and Dean to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students.

Documented experience teaching college level Psychology courses.
Documented experience teaching Psychology courses in a variety of modalities including in-person, hybrid, virtual, and asynchronously online.
Demonstrated experience incorporating current technologies into teaching.
Ability to assist adjunct instructors with their course materials and questions.
Ability to teach in both a seven-week and a fifteen-week format.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of and experience teaching using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with a wide range of faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant instructional technologies.
