 HVAC/R PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program is an individual program that prepares students to work in various jobs in air conditioning and refrigeration. Students are prepared to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps, humidifiers, and electrical and gas heating. Students also learn the fundamentals of electricity, electric motors, and controls. Graduates of the program will be able to install and braze refrigeration tubing, diagnose electrical problems, install duct systems, repair light commercial equipment, recover air conditioning and refrigeration refrigerants, and locate and repair leaks.

Position Summary:&nbsp;Do you have a passion for sharing your expertise, craft or hobby with others? Pellissippi State’s noncredit lifelong learning program offers personal enrichment classes for the community with a wide range of topics, including: fitness, languages, musical instruments, arts and crafts, wellness, history, and more. Class participants are community members ages 18+. Some of the many benefits of teaching a lifelong learning class include working with engaged and enthusiastic adult learners and flexible class scheduling.
Our noncredit class schedule is released twice a year: spring/summer and fall. Classes can be as short as 90 minutes or up to 12 hours in length. While compensation can vary depending on the type of class being offered, noncredit instructors are generally paid starting at $40 per class hour or a flat fee per class, and work on a temporary, part-time contract.
Instructors are responsible for developing their class content with assistance from the Program Coordinator as needed, and teaching the class. The Workforce &amp; Community Development office with work with instructors to determine the best format, date and time of offering, and will set the registration fee for the class.

Job Summary
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is accepting applications for the position of a part time Dental Assisting Adjunct Instructor. This position would typically work less than 20 hours per week at a rate of $30 per hour. To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>The Dental Assisting instructor is responsible for teaching all phases of the State of Tennessee Dental Assisting registry curriculum including classroom, clinical and laboratory. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Other duties include curriculum updates, professional development, maintain student records, student recruiting, student retention, job placement and functioning as a liaison with area employers. - (Essential)</li>

</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Post-secondary training from an accredited institution in the field</li>
<li>Must have a minimum of three (3) years current experience in the dental assisting field</li>
<li>Must hold current TN RDA, DDS/DMD, or RDH licensure in good standing</li>
<li>Current two (2) year Healthcare Provider BLS CPR w/AED training certification</li>

Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Prior Teaching experience</li>
<li>TN RDA certifications in the following expanded functions: Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Dental Radiology, Sealant Application, and Coronal Polishing</li>
<li>Be familiar with program compliance under TN Board of Dentistry</li>

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jacksboro is accepting applications for a Part-Time Adjunct Instructor serving in the Adult Education program. This position will provide instruction for adult learners with varying educational functioning levels. The successful candidate will regularly interact with students, provide instruction, and perform registration and intake-related services at Adult Education instructional sites, which include the American Job Centers, local businesses, housing authorities, rehabilitation facilities, and county jails.
Job Duties
• Plan, teach and evaluate student work
• Accept responsibility and is self-motivated
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task
• Assist with graduation
• Assist with student registration, assessment, orientation/counseling
• Administer and interpret scores for TABE, CASAS, and HiSET OPT exams for student placement and instruction
• Organize and maintain confidential program and student files as well as report documentation, including maintaining correct student sign-in sheets
• Provide office coverage, customer service, and assist with student registration, class assignment, attendance, and student goals
• Maintain technical knowledge by engaging in opportunities to improve or increase skills
• Contribute to team effort
• Provide instruction for digital education classroom
• Provide instruction for corrections students (as needed)
• Maintaining time and effort documentation
• Work toward classroom improvement based on program goals
• Post-test all students after 40 hours of instruction
• Work with Leadership Team to develop a program that supports students’ progression through the National Reporting System levels- ensuring level gains
• Support the Adult Education Office with general clerical duties (filing, faxing, disbursement of administrative and instructional materials, restock supplies, etc.)
• Manage electronic filing system
• Complete data entry in a timely manner adhering to all reporting deadlines
• Organize and maintain confidential program and student files as well as report documentation
• Collaborate with Instructors and Career Coaches
• Provide assistance for those seeking to learn English as a Second Language
• Assist with student needs, registration, and intake-related activities for potential and current students
• Willingness to learn and support the department as it relates to new tasks and/or responsibilities
• Assist with scheduling, proctoring, and scoring state-required tests (CASAS; TABE; OPT; HiSET).
• Maintain class, staff, and event schedules
• Perform other duties as assigned&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications
• Baccalaureate in Education or related field, Tennessee Teacher’s License (preferred or approved waiver, or experience in teaching). • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) is required 
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in an Adult Education environment is preferred
