Generally given substantial guidance but expected to be self-directed once trained.&nbsp; Interns are expected to demonstrate excellent ability in standard computer software programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.&nbsp; Interns are expected to have strong organizational, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Essential Duties &amp; ResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Facilities staff will guide the intern in the following areas&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist in the evaluation &amp; implementation of available maintenance software platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in the evaluation &amp; implementation of available contract management software platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Support the elevator RFP process across the portfolio.&nbsp;</li><li>Field experience in project management.&nbsp;</li><li>Field experience in the maintenance support area.&nbsp;</li><li>Support additional facilities projects as assigned.&nbsp;</li><li>Participation in department meetings.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications&nbsp;<ul><li>Education and/or Experience: – Current enrollment in a course of study in a field related to Real Estate Investing.&nbsp;</li><li>Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear.&nbsp; The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.&nbsp; The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Work Environment: The noise level in the office environment is usually reasonably quiet. While visiting sites employees may be exposed to outdoor extreme weather conditions, loud noises, heat/cold/wet, loud noise, heavy equipment and obstacles to navigate. Appropriate safety precautions will be provided and must be used.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities:&nbsp;</li><li>Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.&nbsp; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
