Each year, we power billions of transactions through our global payments network, serving our Issuing and Acquiring businesses in more than 170 markets worldwide.Reporting to the Vice President of Card Solutions, the Director of Network Business Planning will lead a team that will be responsible for network planning and governance.&nbsp; This team will lead critical initiatives including annual Investment Planning, metrics, and reporting to senior stakeholders.&nbsp; It will also drive product oversight, ensuring proper governance is embedded in the day-to-day operations of network products.The Director of Network Business Planning will be responsible for the following activities:<ul><li>Lead annual Tech Investment Planning process for GMNS, identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline and enhance the process</li><li>Establish &amp; monitor overall network performance (KPIs, scorecards, etc.)</li><li>Drive product oversight by supporting product governance activities including PRSAs, AEMP54, and TLM</li><li>Support the creation of material for Enterprise forums with senior stakeholders across all business units </li><li>Stay informed with initiatives across the enterprise and connect the dots across all network products</li><li>Support urgent and important strategic initiatives with thought leadership and drive stretch projects</li></ul>The successful candidate will have the following:<ul><li>Relevant experience:&nbsp;Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and track record of process optimization</li><li>Leadership skills:&nbsp;Strong track record of leadership, both in building high performing diverse teams as well as creating followership.</li><li>Executive communication skills:&nbsp;Outstanding communicator with the ability to distill complex topics into clear and concise messages, adapted appropriately for the audience.&nbsp; Excellent Powerpoint skills and storytelling.</li><li>Relationship Management:Consistent track record of establishing, developing, and leveraging partner relationships.&nbsp; Strong negotiation skills.</li><li>Thought leadership:&nbsp;Strategic and innovative mindset, with the&nbsp;ability to synthesize and translate market and industry trends into opportunities for AXP to drive&nbsp;innovative solutions.</li><li>Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to spot new trends and opportunities, develop a business case which others can be persuaded to support, and overcome objections and obstacles in making the vision a reality.</li><li>Highly collaborative: Ability to collaborate, and build strong relationships with, internal and external stakeholders to deliver&nbsp;value beyond traditional means.</li><li>Intellectual curiosity:&nbsp;High intellectual curiosity, with excellent creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguous or undefined problems.</li><li>Great attitude: High energy, an optimistic attitude, and a good sense of humor.</li></ul>Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
