QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;
An earned Bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lab preparation experience, including preparing and maintaining media and bacterial cultures; experience using and maintaining microscopes and autoclaves; laboratory teaching experience in Biology or related field; inventory and ordering experience; clinical lab employment experience. &nbsp;

Working with the plant management team at all levels within the organization to support the four Johns Manville core values: People, Passion, Performance, and Protection. &nbsp;The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:<ul><li>Troubleshooting by use of testing equipment and other measuring techniques.</li><li>Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hand and power tools.</li><li>Make adjustments to functional parts of equipment and control systems.</li><li>Manage downtime by coordinating with production department personnel on routine preventative and predictive maintenance practices.</li><li>Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment (welding equipment, cutting equipment, machine tools)</li><li>Install and repair various types of piping</li><li>Install, repair and adjust conveyors</li><li>Lubricate chains, bearings, gearboxes, etc</li><li>Rig, refurbish, and align equipment.</li><li>Operate a forklift, manlift, scissor lift.</li><li>General welding/fabrication.</li><li>Always use safe work practices, follow all safety rules and procedures, immediately report any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in safety programs.</li><li>Perform safety observations and complete training assignments.</li><li>Wears all personal protective equipment as required by management, including but not limited to protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask or respirator.</li><li>The Mechanic plays a critical role in supporting the plant’s overall safety objectives.
