POSITION SUMMARY Provides proctor services for exams and interprets placement test results. Upholds proctoring standards and rules for all tests conducted.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Completes annual proctor certification exams. Proctors online and conventional pen/paper tests. Interprets and implements vendor test protocols for students. Maintains surveillance of testing labs to ensure there are no violations of student guidelines. This mobile classroom may travel to all seven NSCC campuses, as well as to other community and industry locations. The CDL Driver/Operator will play a critical role in supporting the College's mission to provide accessible education and training opportunities by ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the mobile classroom.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a mobile classroom vehicle to designated locations, including NSCC campuses and community/industry partner sites. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. Coordinate with program staff to plan routes and schedules. Set up and secure the mobile classroom at each site, ensuring a safe and functional environment for participants. Perform light maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs basic maintenance and repairs to electrical, plumbing and other building systems and provides general carpentry, painting and commercial building repair/maintenance services across all seven of the College’s campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to and completes work orders for various maintenance projects and requests in a timely manner. Performs basic plumbing maintenance, including repairing faucets, caulking fixtures, running clogged drain lines and rebuilding &amp; replacing plumbing fixtures. Performs electrical repairs, including replacing light fixtures, lightbulbs and electrical receptacles and switches.
Prepares, primes and paints interior and exterior building surfaces. Installs and repairs drywall, glass, handrails, window blinds, ceiling tile, carpet/floor tiles, baseboard molding, etc. Maintains and repairs doors, locks, closers. Repairs or replaces defective equipment. Conducts preventative repairs on an annual, monthly, weekly and daily basis as needed/assigned.
Travels to extended campuses as assigned to perform routine and preventative maintenance and to assess condition of buildings/systems. Maintains a parts, supplies and equipment inventory and advises supervisor when inventory needs to be replenished. Moves chairs, desks, file cabinets and other furniture and equipment. Assembles furniture as needed. Assists with indoor and outdoor College event set-up and break-down, including tables, chairs, podiums, risers, stages, drapes, banners, etc., along with other miscellaneous requests.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED
Three (3) years’ building maintenance experience

Minimum Qualifications:
&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.</li>
<li>Valid Tennessee Class A CDL.</li>
<li>Safe driving record and proof of insurance.</li>
<li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently or in groups.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively in writing with good public speaking and presentation skills in a “hands-on” equipment demonstration.</li>
<li>Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Prior knowledge or experience working and/or training others in various career technical education programs.</li>
<li>Prior secondary or post-secondary experience.</li>
</ul>

General Duties:
&nbsp;
The CDL Driver will transport the mobile trainer to various locations for events, including elementary, middle, and high schools.
<ul>
<li>The driver will assist TCAT – McMinnville staff/students in demonstrating classroom equipment and skills for various TCAT – McMinnville programs on the mobile training trailer at each location.</li>
<li>The driver will be responsible for properly loading and securing training stations on the mobile training trailer prior to departure.</li>
<li>The driver will be responsible for ensuring proper set-up for demonstrations at each location and securing equipment in-transit.</li>
<li>The driver will be responsible for unloading and storing training stations in original locations at the end of each trip.</li>
<li>The driver will be responsible for leveling and balancing the trailer with jacks.</li>
<li>The driver will also help move the semi-trailers and semi-trucks as needed.</li>
</ul>

Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions
&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Transport the mobile trainer and training equipment to a variety of locations.</li>
<li>Learn and utilize trainer equipment for demonstrations for both K-12 and adults.</li>
<li>Assist TCAT – McMinnville staff/students with demonstrations and recruiting students for programs at these events.</li>
<li>Complete mileage and inventory reports at the end of each trip.</li>
<li>Other related duties, as assigned.</li>
</ul>

Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT – McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal &amp; Federal Criminal.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS)
<ul>
<li>Driving approximately 1 to 4 hours per day.</li>
<li>Normal standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting.</li>
<li>Lifting of boxes and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds or less.</li>
<li>Hooking and unhooking semi-trailer and other trailers from the truck.</li>
</ul>

Salary:&nbsp;Commensurate with experience, education, and training according to Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
